Wipe-On/Roll-On Label Applicators

LSI offers different wipe-on and roll-on type label applicators. These applicators are ideal for applications where the product may have an irregular surface or a recessed area. An effective wipe-on / roll-on application is when the conveyor speed and the label web speed are consistent with one another. The roller or brush is then used to ensure proper label adhesion.

The Model 020 roll-on label applicator is made of foam or rubber. The key to a successful roll-on application is that the product speed and the label web speed must match one another and that the product surface is either flat or a slight oval.

This roll-on label applicator is the Model 021 and the roller is made of foam or rubber. The roll-on applicator is mounted just ahead of the peeler bar and is sprint loaded. The roll-on applicator must feed the label in the direction of the product and the surface is flat or a slight oval.

The wipe-on application method is used with a brush or wipe assembly. The wipe-on applicator applies the labels to products with high and low areas or to products that are irregular in shape.
