Corner wrap applicators are used to apply a label onto adjacent panels of a product. As the product approaches, the label is applied to the front panel, then swings around the corner and wipes the remaining portion of the label on to the adjacent side. Models are available that allow for front to side labeling and even trailing to side panel labeling. These label applicators can be used for Apply-Only Labeling Heads or Print & Apply Labeling Heads.
Two stage tamp corner wrap label applicators require the product to be stopped momentarily at the point of label application. The label is fully dispensed and held onto two tamp pads by vacuum. Each pad is mounted to its own air cylinder. One cylinder is longer than the other. During the application sequence, both tamp pads extend to the product together. Contact is made first by the short stroke cylinder to the side of the product. The long stroke cylinder continues wiping the remainder of the label to the leading (or trailing) panel of the product.

Another style corner wrap label applicator does not require a product to be stopped at the point of label application. After the label is applied to the side panel of the product, a secondary roller wipes the remainder of the label down the side of the trailing panel. This can also be accomplished with a brush attachment.
