The Series 40 is LSI's Performance line of stepper motor driven label applicators. Series 40 includes models that accommodate 5" and 7" web widths, 12" or 16" diameter unwind rolls and user adjustable dispense speeds up to 1200" of label web per minute. There is a standard Series 40 model designed to fit almost any labeling application.

All models are available in either right hand or left hand configurations. They are designed to work with any of LSI's standard applicators. Custom configurations are available from the factory, to fit unusual applications.

The Series 40 apply only labeling head comes with a stepper motor drive to provide maximum torque and precise speed control. The LCD user display allows the user the ability to access information on the labeler as well as access the 50 recipes that can be stored in the decorative label applicator.

The Series 40 apply only label head is available in both 5" and 7" wide web width options. To ensure that the drive and nip rollers remain parallel, both the 5" and 7" web width options utilize the rugged 3 point drive and nip mounting structure.

The base package for the Series 40 apply only label head includes the 12" unwind assembly with single roller. This particular unwind assembly works best with relatively short labels at moderate dispense speeds. An optional unwind assembly with a double roller dancer arm improves performance at higher speeds and longer labels.

The standard Series 40 apply only labeling head contains a rewind that is slaved from the web drive stepper motor. The slaved rewind accommodates up to 7-1/4" diameter rewind roll. Models 43, 45, & 47 of the Series 40 come equipped with a separately driven powered rewind. These models focus the stepper motor's torque on driving the web, rather then powering the rewind. This enables for better labeling performance at higher speeds.
